Sonos Studio visitors are invited on a journey of musical discovery around the globe, with the newest exhibition Blow Your Head by Diplo and photographer Shane McCauley.
SONOS collaborated with Diplo and McCauley to curate an innovative installation that combines the photos and videos from their adventures documenting international music scenes, along with select blogs on Hype Machine played through the SONOS WIRELESS HI-FI SYSTEM. Visitors can pick songs and watch the giant projected video and photography respond to the sound coming from the SONOS PLAYBAR.
Diplo and Shane McCauley will celebrate the opening of Blow Your Head today, September 4 at Sonos Studio. The event begins at 7pm and will include a Q&A on the exhibition on their collaboration with Sonos.
Blow Your Head is open for visitors at the Sonos Studio from September 4th until October 6th Wed-Sun from 12-6.
For those not able to visit the exhibit in person, you can explore Diplo’s favorite international music through Hype Machine in SONOS LABS on SONOS. On your SONOS controller, select the “More Music” tag in the music section. From there you can explore all Hype Machine blogs, including those Diplo & McCauley used to create the exhibit: Jamaica’s Stolen Records, Brazil’s Funk na Caixa, New York City’s Mad Decent, and South Africa’s OkayAfrica. You can also view some of the 50+ images captured by McCauley in the gallery below as you listen to the blogs.
