Beats Music on SonosToday, Beats Music launched its new premium streaming service in the US and it is available now for all Sonos owners to enjoy throughout the home.

A great music service deserves to be experienced with great speakers and we created the best way to listen to Beats Music at home. Sonos is the only way to stream in high fidelity sound to any room.

This launch signifies an important moment in the digital music landscape as streaming becomes mainstream. Sonos is a modern audio platform that was built in anticipation of the many services music lovers would have to choose from and this is only the beginning. “Technology innovators have been betting on streaming for years and we’ve finally reached the tipping point with visionaries in the music industry going all-in,” notes Sonos CEO John MacFarlane. “We’re thrilled to launch Beats Music on Sonos day one of its availability. It’s never been a more exciting time to be a music lover.”

Beats Music aims to cater to the different listening needs of music lovers. When you play it on Sonos, you can access curated recommendations from your favorite artists, enjoy activity-based playlists and search for your favorite tracks, among other features.

This follows Beats Music’s acquisition of MOG, which will be discontinued this spring. Stay tuned for further information on switching to Beats.

Sonos owners can stream Beats Music today and following a free trial offer, the subscription starts at $9.99 per month. Click here for more information and to get started.

Please add support for Google Music.

Sonos probably would have made more users happy by adding either Google Play Music or Soundcloud. I think, Beats Music isn’t that interesting for users atm, but they probably have a great deal with Beats, where Beats gets more popularity in an exclusive way and Sonos gets some advantages ($$$) as well.

Anyway, too bad for people not interested in yet-another-streaming-platform. Let’s see, maybe Kim negotiates a deal with Sonos to have Baboom integrated next.

SoundCloud integration is currently Planned. Watch this thread for details when information becomes available. https://ask.sonos.com/sonos/topics/mixcloud_and_souncloud_support

Sound Cloud would be great. So far I am not impressed with Beats and starting to miss MOG.

      Ditto!!!

Beats won’t stream a genre “radio” or artist “radio” station over Sonos. You have to choose songs one by one or choose a playlist when using Beats via Sonos. That’s a big feature that MOG had that Beats doesn’t.
