On September 24, 1991, Seattle rock band Nirvana released its second album. Nevermind launched the band into stardom and marked a monumental moment in music history. The album was–and remains–so popular, that every song on it has been covered at least once, which is why we’re celebrating the 20th anniversary with a Spotify playlist that consists of the sincerest form of flattery: imitation.
Prefer the original album? We do, too. Nevermind is available to stream in its entirety via many of our music service partners, such as MOG, Napster, Rdio, and Rhapsody. Or tune in to Sirius XM Channel 34 through September 28 for a special run of Nevermind Radio, which will play the band’s entire catalog.
